Where can you go to observe the stars ?

On your own or when there is a special event, here's a few ideas to help you enjoy the starry sky

On your own

You have your own observation equipment ? Three observation sites are put are your disposal by the Park communes in order help you enjoy the starry night in Quercy : Limogne-en-Quercy, Reilhac, and Carlucet.

The Gigouzac Astronomy Club organises events, lectures and excursions. Check out their website.

 The "Ïle aux étoiles" offers "Balades de nuit sur la Voie lactée" (Night walks on the Milky Way). Through an entirely automated 400 mm diameter telescope, explore the universe and its splendours such as the planets, galaxies or nebulae… and the Moon ! For more info, telephone 05 65 11 24 67.


Certain "Marque Parc" accommodation is equipped with telescopes. The equipment is put at visitors' disposal so that they can enjoy the starry sky. The list of places providing this service can be found here.
