bistrot de paysA real innovation, the Bistrot de Pays designation was created in 1993 to support the independent bistro owners who collectively committed themselves to observing the designation's quality charter. A Bistrot de Pays has the function of contributing, through a local network, to the conservation and development of the economic and social fabric of rural communities by maintaining - or re-creating - the village café with all its auxiliary local services.
